Management Expert Tom Peters Headlines First-Ever Kan-Ed Management Forum

Tom Peters, who has been called America's most influential business thinker, will open the first-ever Kan-ed Membership and Leadership Forum Wednesday, June 15 in Wichita.
The conference is titled "Re-Imagine in 2005" and is open to the public.Peters, whose current best-selling book is "Re-Imagine!
Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age," will kick-off the start of the three-day Kan-ed conference from 1-5 p.m. at the Century II Convention Center.
The conference is co-sponsored by Cox Communications and Sprint.The public is invited to Peters' speech (and/or the entire Forum) and can register online at http://conference-kan-ed.org.
The cost for the Peters' event is $50 (for those registering before May 15) and $75 thereafter.

The cost for the entire conference is $100 if registered by May 15 (and $125 thereafter).The conference will address such issues as how Kansas schools can be improved, how Kansas can compete in the global marketplace of today, how rural areas can receive the same opportunities as larger cities, and how Kansas will be able to retain good leaders in the future.
Peters' remarks will focus on economic development in the State of Kansas and a discussion of his hard-hitting views outlined in his latest book."Tom Peters pulls no punches in giving his views on how businesses are run today," says Hal Gardner, executive director of Kan-ed. "He's one of the most sought after management speakers in the world today.

The seminal management book by Peters and Robert Waterman was published in 1982 and remains one of the one of the biggest selling and widely read business books ever.Kan-ed was created by an act of the Kansas Legislature on April 20, 2001 and funded in January 2003.
