If you're not at the top of whatever workflow chart you find yourself a part of, chances are good that you find yourself wishing your office was a little bigger. Even though technology makes our lives easier, it certainly takes up a lot of space. And with more and more gizmos and gadgets coming out each year, the wires, manuals, and add-ons can really take their toll on your already cramped space.Office space clutter is not only annoying, but it can also be one of the fastest ways to lose a client's or coworker's respect. Here are a few tips and wholesale electronics devices you can use to cut down on the clutter and create a neat, clean, professional-looking office. In the world of monitors, big is NOT beautiful. The first thing you should do if your desktop acreage leaves you wanting is to toss the huge monitor that came with your computer and go out and buy yourself a flat panel monitor. They're not cheap, but I promise it's the best birthday present you'll give yourself until you're on the top of the workflow chart (i.e.

BMW...).Go wireless. Keyboard and mouse wires are unnecessary evils now that wireless options are cheap and readily available. An optical mouse eliminates the need for a mouse pad if you are really in a crunch for space. Depending on the size of company you are working for, wireless internet routers and wireless cards for both PCs and laptops are options to help cut down on the miles of wires that seem to run to the back of your computer. Wholesale electronics vendors typically carry package deals on wireless keyboards and mouses that make this option even more economical.Keep the wires under wraps. Some devices don't come without wires (yet), and chances are you've got dozens of wires running under your feet as you read this article. Use Velcro strips, ties, or tubing to bundle wires together.

When you upgrade your wires and connections, check the wholesale electronics section to see if they carry wire organizing devices. Not only does this keep you from pulling the printer cable out of the back of your computer each time you stretch your feet, but it will also make under your desk look neat.Get personal with your audio. Have you ever noticed that the stylish, modern shapes that computer speakers come in don't typically stack well? If you are working in a public workspace and have to hunch near your speakers to listen to your music, consider switching to headphones. Wireless headphones are available from a number of vendors and the prices are quite reasonable. Combination microphone and headphone headsets also reduce the need to use awkward desktop microphones.Take your office with you. Over the last few years laptops have really come into their own. You can get all the computing power you'd ever want out of a desktop without having to worry about an extra monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers - and even better yet, you don't have to worry about all the wires that come with them.

Any upgrades or add-ons you need can usually be picked up pretty inexpensive from any wholesale electronics dealer.Three auxiliaries are better than one. Printers, copiers, and scanners are integral parts to any home business or office. But you don't need to sacrifice tons of deskspace to have them all. You can often save quite a bit of money buying 3-in-1 combinations of these auxiliaries rather than buying them separately. You also integrate all of your tech support needs for the devices because they are all made by the same company. The devil is in the details. Little things can really go a long way in cleaning up the clutter and opening up desk and office space. USB flash drives store more than their bulky disk counterparts and you can rest assured that they'll be compatible wherever you go.

Under-desk trays for keyboards and mice, clip on copy holders that attach to your monitor, and stacking paper trays will all help your home or work office look and feel neat and organized.
.

I attended a seminar recently and found myselfdisappointed and accelerated with excitement all at thesame time.I went to this seminar ready to be blown away by some fairly popular speakers and entrepreneurs. When it cametime to listen to the first keynote (who I was pumped abouthearing) I found myself deflated with disappointment whenit was over. I thought to myself, "I hope the rest of theweekend isn't like this."I was disappointed because the main person I wanted tohear and meet was all excitement and no substance. Therewasn't any meat to what he was saying. He just yelled andscreamed a lot and had the audience yell and scream, butnone of us were any better or knew any more than when wefirst arrived.

And I heard others saying the same type of comments. Then it occurred to me, "This guy who is speaking is me." He'syou. Every day we do the same thing. Most of the time, though,it's not on such a big platform. What's the point? How many times have we set out to achieve a goal but attackedit with no plan. We made a lot of waves but never made adifference. The problem the speaker had that night was he had no plan of attack.

Neither can we just go through life expecting to succeed in ourareas of choice without setting up some kind of plan to achieveour already decided successes. On the excitement side of the coin, I went to a class the next day at this seminar that floored me. I couldn't believe the class facilitator's passion. Like the first speaker, this guy had excitement, passion and a couple of other characteristics that hit home with everyone there. You see our decision to accomplish a goal is VERY important. But the decision alone is not enough.

We must have a few other things in place to help accomplish that decision. These things are the same characteristics I saw in our class facilitator on Saturday. The following are a few things we can do to prepare for the successes we've already decided in our lives:PASSIONWe've already touched on this but it's worth repeating. Trying to succeed without passion is like calling a soggy bowl of cereal a hearty breakfast. It just leaves you wanting more and eventually you'll just pour it down the drain because it just isn't appealing. So, to be successful, develop a passion in your area of choice.INTEGRITYThis is an outstanding asset and seems to be fleeting in today'ssociety. If you have a true, upstanding character that lands youin the category of integrity, then you are miles ahead of the rest.Anyone loves to work with people who have integrity.

This is a characteristic that isn't easily attained. You have to work hard to be recognized as one of these people. But once you've got thelabel of a person of integrity, you're worth more than any product you will produce or endorse.HARD WORKHard work is essential for success. I knew this going in the Saturday class. But to hear it reintroduced was a great refresher.

Work doesn't just "get done". Someone has to do it. And you know how you want things done. And if you have an unlimited amount of money, chances are things won't get done the way you want them even if you hire it out. When it comes to hard work, excuses have no place.

There's no short-cutting hard work. RELATIONSHIPSThis is vital. Without relationships, you will be in the same place you started when you decided to work toward your endeavor. Your relationships are one of the main avenues to your success. The company you keep, the partnerships you make, the every dayinteraction that you maintain will be a gauge for your achievements. You will be able to look back once you have won a victory and seehow the relationships played a part.

In the midst of working toward your success, you may not see it. But once you're living your success it's obvious. Rarely, if ever, can a success be claimed by one.Take these areas and enhance them. You'll be glad you did. There's a great success waiting on you and a victory to claim.

Choose it. Chase it. Achieve it.Until next time keep looking and living forward..

Despite the communications power of the Internet, nothingbeats good old human interaction when it comes to learninga new skill. You can always read a book, listen to a tape, or watch avideo to learn how to do something, but, in the end, learning from a live teacher who can answer your questionson the spot works best. Until recently, the Internet resembled a large "book" ofelectronic text and pictures where any extended "human"interactivity could only take place offline by tele-conference or in-person meetings. Now, however, the appearance of cheap "web casting" createsan inexpensive opportunity for mass interactivecommunication between people spread all over the world. "Web casting" (broadcasting through the web) enables apresenter to transmit a live presentation over the Internetto as many as 10,000 participants.

For most online events, participants only need an Internetconnection through a standard phone line and audiospeakers. In the post-9/11 era, people simply don't like to travel asfrequently. The meal and hotel costs associated withattending seminars or other adult education events make iteven harder to attract a full audience. However, with web casting, you can pull together a largegroup of people from around the world at a specific time ona given day, teach them something, and then let them allget back to their lives without the traditionalinterruptions and expenses of travel.Web casting enables you to literally present just about anytype of information or educational material you want. You can do everything from a simple "radio" typepresentation where people passively listen, to a multimediapresentation complete with Power Point slides and livetours of actual websites.

At this point, imagination seems to represent the onlylimitation as far as what you can do to teach peoplethrough the Internet using this technology.Currently, large corporations and independent speakers andentrepreneurs seem to represent the majority of web castingusers. I believe this comes from the fact that people simply don'tknow about it yet and don't understand how to use it. Once that changes, web casting will go a long way towardsreplacing tele-conferencing as the preferred means of long-distance education. In the future, as costs decrease even further, you willfind people using web casting for everything from onlinefamily reunions and sales presentations, to home-basedcooking shows and pay-per-view seminars. As the technologyimproves, the potential uses will skyrocket. As with any new technology, a few drawbacks exist. Though web casting works with modem speeds as low as 28K,no one standard has emerged for broadcasting content.

Some services require Real Player, while others requireMicrosoft's media player, and, as usual, Mac users oftenget left out in the cold without any options.Right now, search engine giant Google.com rates the bestsource of information on how to offer your own web cast.Simply log on to Google, search for "webcast," andinvestigate the ever-growing number of available resources..

If your idea of learning a new language means plowing through endless stacks of cassette tapes, think again. Thanks to BookBox, the innovative brainchild of a team of Stanford University students, a language- learning revolution is about to begin. In a nutshell, BookBox is a digital "jukebox" of animated books, each available in multiple languages ranging from Spanish and French to Hindi and Chinese. Based on the science of Same Language Subtitling (SLS), BookBox synchronizes the text, audio, and visual media so that your 4 year-old child can now read a story on his own -- simply by listening to the narration and following it word by word in the subtitles. Or if your child wants to learn Spanish, she can simply turn on English and Spanish subtitles, and listen to a Spanish audio narration. You get the idea: www.bookbox.com Non-English speakers in the US, especially young children, will find BookBox particularly useful as a language-learning tool.

With its beautiful illustrations, dynamic animation and colorful narration, BookBox essentially turns a regular storybook into an educational cartoon that kids can "watch."At the same time, Bookbox is very much a global product, where children from all over the world can learn to read, in any language they want. The BookBox innovation comes at a particularly propitious time, when globalization is the new buzzword and multilingualism can be worth more than a college degree.Yet the beauty of BookBox lies not just in its multi-lingual interface, but in its simple ability to make reading truly universal, in a way never before experienced. It gives rise to a reading revolution, where the illiterate who have traditionally been helpless with books, can now proudly carry one in hand and be able to read it - on their own."The educational problem of the world is not that we don't have enough top-notch scientists and engineers, it's that we have over a billion people who cannot read the headline of a newspaper," says Brij Kothari, BookBox co-founder.Armed with the brilliantly simple idea of subtitling animated books, Brij rounded up a team of Stanford University undergraduates in early 2004 to help develop BookBox.It has only been a year, but BookBox has come a long way. Currently BookBox is available online at www.bookbox.com , and all of its 6 original stories can be downloaded for free . In the future, BookBox stories will also be released in DVD, mp3 formats, and even TV!Within the 3-month launch of its young website, BookBox has already generated a buzz with users around the globe. As one BookBoxer describes: "Finally, a book without boundaries - from the language enthusiast in France to the illiterate peasant in China.

BookBox is truly universal."Contact:Lavina TienBookBox, Inc.1030 El Monte AveMountain View, CA 94040650 996 7880E-mail: e-mail protected from spam botswww.bookbox.com.

One of the main challenges facing law enforcement, corporations and the legal sector in today's virtual crime environment is a continuity of expertise, skills, technology, standards and best practice from prevention all the way to the court room. The inconsistency thereof often leads to vulnerable systems, sloppy recovery, unsatisfactory evidence or incomplete information somewhere along the line. This is only made worse by the expert witness roulette which currently plagues courtrooms internationally. The Digital Evidence E-Symposium aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement, corporations and the legal sector by providing all camps with an indispensable insight into legal and technical considerations of digital evidence, whilst providing industry practitioners with practical advice which will have an immediate effect on their daily operations. The comprehensive scope of the E-Symposium is reflected in its title: ?From Prevention to Courtroom'.The E-Symposium will cover indispensable topics such as Training & Education, Evidence Collection & Analysis, Timeliness, Emergency Response, Emerging Threats, Data Mining, Vulnerability Assessment & Patch Mgmt, Risk Analysis, and Corporate Fraud Investigation.

The technical sessions are broken up by round tables such as a debate on P.R. - Public Relations, Police Relations. Speakers include world-renowned experts such as Allan Brill, Nigel Jones, Chris Buttner, Susan Brenner, Jennifer Granick and Peter Stephenson. If this isn't enough to convince you, the event is reviewed by Warren G. Kruse II, Peter Sommer, Svein Willassen, Earl Moulton, Dara Sewell, Troy Larson, Bill Jeitner, Tony Dearsley, Peter Yapp and Carrie Morgan Whitcomb.Registration for industry professionals is free of charge.

"The Digital Evidence E-Symposium allows corporations, law enforcement and lawyers to cut back on travel expenses, save valuable time and tap into cutting edge knowledge whilst interacting with their international colleagues", says Val-Pierre Genton, Managing Director of e-symposium. The free-of-charge strategy is expected to generate attendance levels in excess of 1,000 delegates and create unprecedented knowledge-sharing from experts to delegates. It seems that the E-Symposium covers every angle ? not only can delegates attend high quality presentations from the comfort of their own office, but they can also interact with their international colleagues via cutting edge web-based instant messaging technology. Delegates can even create private, secured ?rooms' to have closed meetings. With training and travel budgets tight or non-existent, this certainly is deliverance for the legal, law enforcement and corporate communities.

"Our mission is to facilitate the gathering of industry intelligence and to stimulate international knowledge sharing", says Val-Pierre Genton. Well, it looks like the Digital Evidence E-Symposium 2005 does just that.????About the organizer:e-symposium Ltd is a London-based company which is pioneering international B2B web conferences (E-Symposia, E-Symposiums). Its E-Symposia combine the benefits of a world-class Symposium and the flexibility of the Internet and cutting edge technology. Each E-Symposium event program is carefully researched to ensure that the expectations of attendees, speakers and sponsors are not only met, but exceeded. To ensure the highest quality benchmark is attained, each E-Symposium is reviewed by a tow-tiered committee, consisting of internationally recognized authorities.

This ground-breaking formula allows delegates to save time and money, leading to a sharp increase in attendee levels, which in turn gives sponsors exposure to a highly receptive and copious target audience of senior decision-makers. Delegates can view cutting edge presentations and engage in Q&A sessions with world-renowned experts from the comfort of their own office. They can event interact with their international colleagues via web-based instant messaging. What's more, time difference and agenda clashes have been accounted for by the creation of a complete presentation archive, allowing delegates to view presentations at their own pace. Having been formed in 1999 with a mission 'to facilitate the gathering of industry intelligence and to stimulate knowledge sharing', e-symposium Ltd is today at the forefront of 'webolution'.For more information and to register free of charge, visit the DigEv 2005 homepage at www.digev.e-symposium.com..
